“This is a major development compared to the first edition, but there’s still room for improvement. Since the competition is now international, there are more participants, more sound characteristics, and more expectations. I think more discussion and dialogue before the competition will be important moving forward,” said Teddy of SG CAN.
He also noted that the level of enthusiasm among participants has increased, with installers becoming more critical and serious, especially now that the event brings together different countries with different tuning philosophies.

Impact on the Singapore Car Audio Market
Teddy also spoke about the current state of Singapore’s car audio scene, where demand for audio upgrades is rising in line with the nation’s transition to electric vehicles.
With Singapore aiming for a 100% EV ecosystem by 2040, he believes factory audio quality will improve, pushing more consumers to invest in higher end aftermarket systems.
“The market is more open to high end products now, and customers are willing to spend more. A big opportunity is coming,” he added.

Asia CAN Finals 2025 is no longer just a battle of audio systems across different budgets, it is becoming a benchmark for the future of competitive car audio in Asia: more international, more critical, and more open to collective standard building.
The feedback from SG CAN highlights a key point, which is as the competition evolves, so do the expectations.
With its handicap scoring, computer based judging, and multi country format, Asia CAN Finals stands not only as a stage to chase the best sound quality, but also as a collaborative space shaping the next standard of car audio competition in the region. (fbr)
