"We founded CAN in 2016, making it our 10th year. This year marks a stepping stone for us. We're not just moving beyond Indonesia, but unify Asia in a competition. This year's ceremony is in Indonesia," Wahyu Tanuwidjaja, CAN Founder, to SoundandMachine.com at the event (11/4/2025).

This year, Hong Kong, South Korea, Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, China, Taiwan, Singapore, and Thailand were the countries to compete. However Indonesia wasn’t eligible to participate in Asia CAN 2025 since it was selected as a host.

"This is one of the innovations that we made to reduce conflicts of interest. Our experience competing in other associations, with multiple judges from multiple countries, brings national pride. We're avoiding that," said Wahyu.

However, all the judges are Indonesian car audio industry figures, Koko Ayung, Ibnu Haldun, Andy Setiawan, Robert William, and Chandra Budiman.

Those judges were travelled to the selected countries: Hong Kong on October 16, 2025, China on October 17, 2025, South Korea on October 19, 2025, the Philippines on October 24, 2025, Singapore on October 26, 2025, Vietnam on October 28, 2025, Thailand on October 30, 2025, and Malaysia on November 1, 2025.

Advancing to the final round in Indonesia, the 2025 Asia CAN Finals had 25 participants from China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, and Vietnam.

For the final round in Indonesia, Asia CAN Finals 2025 participants competed to tune car audio in cars provided by the organizers in one person per car, at their best.

Each car has various sources for tuning, which participants were required to know. For example, the Toyota Kijang Innova Zenix uses a source from the Alpine PXE-C80-88 digital sound processor (DSP).

The organizers also provided simulation units, Toyota Voxy with symphony and aux input via Android for example.

As a result, Malaysia dominated the 2025 Asia CAN Finals after being selected as the winning country for both the average score, as well as the overall score.

For the 2026 Asia CAN Finals, CAN has already decided that China would be the host, which means Indonesia will be eligible to participate. (Joule)
