Meanwhile, the Sound Quality Loud (SQL) category, also known as CAN Playloud, features a Professional €12,000 class, along with a Sound Pressure Level (SPL) class rated at 3,000 amperes.
“There has been a lot of feedback from our affiliates, including requests to introduce budget-based classes and other changes. We will continue listening to what they want, while also maintaining precision in the judging process,” said Wahyu Tanuwidjaja, CAN Founder, during a training session on May 5, 2026.

This year, the participating Asian countries and territories include Taiwan, the Philippines, Vietnam, South Korea, Thailand, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Indonesia.
“Every country is unique. Of course, we could operate anywhere in the world, but we want to build a strong foundation in Asia. When introducing new innovations, we aim to keep things simple because every country faces its own challenges,” Wahyu explained.
The judges for this year’s ASIA CAN Finals include Allen Lim (Malaysia), Ericson (Indonesia), Ibnu Haldun (Indonesia), Steven Y. Noh (South Korea), Kon Ai Hua (Malaysia), and David J. Baek (South Korea).
The ASIA CAN Finals 2026 competition series will begin in Taiwan on October 4, followed by the Philippines on October 6 and Vietnam on October 8.

The competition will then move to South Korea on October 11, Thailand on October 13, and China and Hong Kong, which will host a combined event on October 16.
Returning to Southeast Asia, the competition will take place in Singapore on October 18, followed by Indonesia on October 20. The awards ceremony is scheduled for October 21.
For the Indonesian leg of the ASIA CAN Finals 2026, the Asia Master Tuner category will be available to registered affiliates. Each affiliate may register up to two competitors, and the category is open to participants from all countries competing in the ASIA CAN Finals.
In addition, the Indonesia Open category will be open to everyone, including participants in Asia Master Tuner.

To participate, competitors must use laptops provided by the organizers, although they may bring their own mouse, real-time analyzer (RTA), and keyboard. Participants must follow CAN Tune regulations, use the designated presets, and note that each car may be auditioned by a maximum of five competitors.
With the introduction of these budget-based classes, ASIA CAN Finals is expected to help further develop the car audio modification ecosystem in Indonesia and other Asian countries.
“This is not about making money. It is about making the pie bigger for the industry. A bigger pie means everyone gets a share without their portion becoming smaller,” Wahyu concluded.
