“Indonesia is the founding country, and CAN currently has affiliates in 10 Asian countries. From Indonesia to the world in the car audio industry,” said Wahyu Tanuwidjaja, CAN founder and holder of the CAN International license.

CAN’s affiliated countries and territories include Taiwan, the Philippines, Vietnam, South Korea, Thailand, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia.

Regarding potential new affiliates, Wahyu revealed that CAN had received inquiries from several countries, including India, whose market is currently growing, as well as Japan. However, requests from both countries are still under evaluation.

“Running an association is not easy. This is not about making money, but about making the pie bigger for the car audio industry,” he explained.

The “pie” refers to creating greater opportunities for everyone in the industry without making each participant’s share smaller.

According to Wahyu, holding competitions in affiliated countries will help expand the car audio market, allowing more brands, distributors, installers, and retailers to participate.

“This is CAN’s main objective. It is not merely about making money from CAN, but about making the pie bigger for everyone,” Wahyu added.

The ASIA CAN Finals 2026 competition series will kick off in Taiwan on October 4, 2026, followed by the Philippines on October 6 and Vietnam on October 8.

The competition will then move to South Korea on October 11, Thailand on October 13, and China and Hong Kong, which will hold their events jointly on October 16.

Returning to Southeast Asia, Singapore will host its event on October 18, followed by Indonesia on October 20. The awards ceremony is scheduled for October 21.

In Indonesia, the ASIA CAN Finals will take place at the Eastvara in BSD City, Tangerang, Indonesia. Mark your calendars and get ready to witness this historic event. (SNM)
